Borrowing from the lyrics of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, this photo just feels a bit darker. Wildfires on the west coast sent patches of haze and smoke 3,000 miles east and in doing so, filtered out much of the suns bright rays. As a result, on one morning, the sun appeared as an orange orb, gently illuminating the harbor below.
